We understand that speed is crucial in delivering efficient work. The responsiveness of software is essential because it directly affects users’ experience when navigating the software. With the increasing demand for swift and responsive applications, we have invested extra effort in investigating which components of Excel-like Bulk Issue Editor are slowing down our application.
We are excited to share that our efforts have paid off. The performance of the Excel-like Bulk Issue Editor Cloud app has improved to be more than 10 times faster. Additionally, some essential features can now be enabled or disabled instantly without loading the entire canvas.
Our Test Results
Rather than discussing performance, let’s see the results of our real-world test.
We understand that it is rare for users to open 10,000 Jira issues on a single page. However, for testing purposes, we cloned 10,000 issues and displayed them in our bulk editor on a single page. Check out the performance difference before and after we made the changes.
Conclusion
Previously, the app took almost 2 minutes to load 10,000 Jira issues on a single page without pagination. But now, the app only needs a few seconds to load everything.
We are proud of our latest achievement and this will serve as motivation for us as we continue to strive to enhance the Excel-like Bulk Issue Editor even further.
Note: This improvement has been released in the Cloud hosting type only. We will investigate if we can apply the same to the Data Center version.
