WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira 9.8 has been released! Thank those of you for waiting for progress line feature!
I’m happy to make an announcement regarding some new features and improvements of WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira 9.8.
Progress line is finally available!
Progress line is absolutely the biggest feature that WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira 9.8 offers! Now you can display the red progress line on your Gantt chart.
Progress line connects the points of the progress rate of each issue on your Gantt chart. It enables you to visualize the progress statuses of your entire project as a whole.
Based on a specific date, if…
- the line is displayed on the left side of issues → those issues are behind schedule
- the line is vertical → issues are on track
- the line is shown on the right side of issues → those issues are progressing ahead of your schedule, and you are doing great!
Here is how it looks:
You see the red zig-zag line? That’s the progress line.
By using this function, you can grasp at a glance your current situation, for example, “Oh… I need an extra large coffee today to burst my productivity since most of the points of progress line are displayed on the left side (= overall progress is not so good)”.
Progress line can be switched on / off at any time from the “View” menu on the operation bar. Take advantage of the zig zag line in order to get a quick view of your current progress!
We are keeping the deprecated features available!
In the previous blog, we announced that:
Displaying projects and filters was a function used before the introduction of Gantt. This function, as well as the configurations related to this, is now designated as a deprecated feature and can be disabled. You can read explanations about this in the release notes and in the product. We intend to discontinue this deprecated features in future.
So we suggest you think about switching over to using the Gantt functions as soon as possible.
After making this announcement, many users reached out to us not to disable the deprecated features. It was a nice surprise to know that deprecated features do help many users. Hence, we’ve to come to decide to keep the deprecated features!
We have been working hard to improve our add-ons more functional with existing features. Thank you for being patient in advance.
